If you have been waiting for the babelfish (a universal translator) from Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, then wait no longer, because it has a arrived from Waverly Labs. Although it’s not a fish, but it does go in your ear. It’s called the Pilot.

The babelfish, a universal translator, from the book Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams.

The Pilot comes with 2 earpieces. Two people speak in real time and in the other person’s ear the sentence is spoken in their native language. So far it works on European languages – English, French, Spanish, German. But there are more coming. Expected to retail for about $250, but you know the price will come down.

It’s going to change the way we travel and relate to those that don’t speak our own language. Amazing!
